What is theming?

Theming is a collection of files that add the layout and style of the site.
Theming also makes minor alterations to the usability / functionality of the site…it's not just CSS and markup.
Theming uses variables, some lightweight PHP and templates. These concepts are new to those who make dreamweaver templates.
