How does oxygen get dissolved in the water?

Detailed Explanation

It gets dissolved when water comes into direct contact with air. Fast moving water, such as rivers and streams, will have more dissolved oxygen than still water like ponds and lakes. Also, plants in the water release oxygen through photosynthesis and making the oxygen get dissolved.
